TRIAD™ kVp Correction for Hologic® Selenia™ W/Rh and W/Ag Target/Filter Combinations
INTRODUCTION
The MQSA regulations require that all air kerma measuring instruments be calibrated to a NIST traceable technique. Currently, NIST does not provide calibration standards for W/Ag or W/Rh. This requires the user to require a NIST traceable calibration then apply correction factors for the W/Ag and W/Rh points.
TUNGSTEN TARGET / RHODIUM FILTER CORRECTION (W/Rh)
To make accurate kVp measurements with the TRIAD Field Service Kit, perform the K-Edge correction as described in the “Making Mammo kVp Measurements” section of the 10100A/AT user manual, then correct the kVp measurements made with the Linear Mammo filter pack using the chart below.
