Import Translations

Navigate to the Job Overview list (/admin/tmgmt/jobs).

The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

This page will give the status and work that has been done in relation to a translation job. You will see the separate files that are used, followed by an upload button to import content, and finally a list of all of the activities related to this translation job.

In the list of jobs, locate the one that you have received translations for.

  • Click Manage
  • In the Provider information tab, click Choose file to import the translation file you have received. (You can also drag the file from where it has been saved to this link.)
  • Click Import
  • The site will give you a status message letting you know the status of the translations.
The status message in green will go away when you navigate away from the page.
  • To review immediately, click on the link that says "reviewed" in the green status.
The translation of ESA615 Electrical Safety Analyzer to Chinese, Simplified is finished and can now be reviewed.
  • Review each page
    • If the translation looks accurate, click the check mark next to each piece of content.
    • If you want to make changes to the content, you can also do that here.
    • If you made changes and you didn't want to:
      • You can revert the change to the original translation with the button with the U-turn arrow.
      • You can mark the item as not reviewed by using the strikethrough checkbox.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save as Completed.
  • You will be returned to the status page for the job.
  • If you do not want to review immediately, you can review the job later by clicking on the Review button for each item.

There are two buttons for Validate and Validate HTML tags. These are for validating that the markup (the HTML tags that you normally don't see) are still correct. This likely won't be necessary very often. The site tries to correct markup that is missing, so it does a great deal of validation anyway.
