Quick, efficient, and cost-effective product upgrades
Victoreen Products supplied White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) with a variety of 1042A200 Modified Ratemeters composed of three (3) different versions to meet their facility specifications and system requirements. Victoreen previously supplied WSMR with our 942A-200 Modified Ratemeters over 30+ years ago and it was time for WSMR to upgrade to our latest rack-mounted versions.
This shows the high quality and low maintenance requirements designed and built into our systems. Which translates into the lowest lifecycle costs in the Nuclear Industry. Also, modifying these ratemeters to meet WSMR’s unique system configurations shows how our custom-solution approach is one of the best in the industry.
The project consisted of upgrading their 942 series UDRs to our new 1000 series UDRs.

Modifications included:
With the completion of this project, we were able to complete the software validation on new electronics in the 1042As. Our customers are always looking to upgrade their older products with the latest versions and this project was a great example of how we’re able to do this effectively.
The project also consisted of our 953 series scintillation detectors & also our 859A-1 Moving Filter Particulate Monitor. This was a like-for-like replacement for WSMR and after successfully delivering our products to their facility they were able to install and implement this equipment quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
