RaySafe 452 in carrying case

Rain or shine the RaySafe 452 will prevail

It's been over two years since RaySafe launched the RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter. What users don't know is that in the summer of 2019, the RaySafe team decided it would be exciting to put the product to the ultimate test: surviving adverse environmental conditions. Two survey meters remained outside the RaySafe building in Billdal, Sweden, for approximately two and a half years. One meter on the terrace, and the other up on the roof.

The meters endured the summer heat, winter cold, rain, storms, and everything in between. Test and Verification Engineer, Mattias Jonsson, checked the device on the terrace weekly to ensure the performance of background measures was still up to par as time went on. Results proved week after week that the 452 could withstand the environmental conditions. Below are a few images of the two units in Billdal, Sweden.
