Victoreen calibration fixtures and test sources are designed for quick and accurate calibrations to ensure your radiation monitors are operating optimally, while reducing the operator time necessary for calibration.
Process radiation monitor detectors consist of a scintillation crystal, that converts the incident radiation into a light pulse, a photomultiplier tube (PMT), to amplify the light into a useable electronic pulse and a preamplifier, to condition and transmit the pulses received to a pulse counting and display device.
Lead shielded calibration fixture
Process monitor detector calibration
Field calibration of scintillation and process GM detectors
Permits NIST traceable detector re-calibrations in the field
The Model 878-10 High Range Field Test Source is a portable, self-contained fixture for in-situ testing of High Range Ion Chamber Area Monitors. While specifically designed for the Model 875 High Range Containment Monitor, it is adaptable to ion chambers of other manufacturers.
Field calibration check source
For “In-Situ” testing
Designed to minimize exposure to operator
NIST calibrated and certified
Portable, rugged and easy-to-operate
For use with Model 875 High Range Containment Monitor
Remote alarms are available for area and process monitors to provide a visual/audible indication of a high alarm state.
Easy to read visual indicators
Informs personnel to any change in radiological condition
Analog meter, scaled to range of ratemeter
Audible alarm (most with silence pushbutton) alerts operators of increasing radiation in monitored area or process stream
The Model 948A-50 Remote Alarm/Indicator continuously indicates the level of radiation at the detector site and provides a visual and audible indication of a high radiation level on an analog meter, light and Sonalert.
Easy to read visual indicators
Informs personnel to any change in radiological condition
Analog meter, scaled to range of ratemeter
Audible alarm (most with silence pushbutton) alerts operators of increasing radiation in monitored area or process stream
Remote alarms are available for area and process monitors to provide a visual/audible indication of a high alarm state. Remote alarm units are also available with an analog meter scale that indicate in the range of 0 to 107 CPM or various mR/h ranges.

Informs personnel to any change in radiological condition
Analog meter, scaled to range of ratemeter
Audible alarm (most with silence pushbutton) alerts operators of increasing radiation in monitored area or process stream
The Models 958A-10/20/30 Remote Alarm/Indicator continuously indicate the level of radiation at the detector site and provide a visual and audible indication of a high radiation level on an analog meter, light and Sonalert. The meter of the Remote Alarm/Indicator is an analog meter scale which indicates in the range of 0.01 to 103 mR/h for the Model 958A-10, 0.1 to 104 mR/h for the Model 958A-20, and 1 to 105 mR/h for the Model 958A-30.
