CLEVELAND, OH — Fluke Biomedical, Radiation Management Services, the world's leading manufacturer of medical imaging and radiation oncology quality assurance products and part of Fluke Corporation, announced today the availability of the Treatment Brassiere. This positioning device helps provide a more uniform dose when administering radiation therapy treatments to breast cancer patients.
"The Treatment Brassiere is an excellent method for positioning the breast that allows the therapist to reproduce not only the position but also the shape of the breast for each radiation treatment fraction," said Ken Freeman, Oncology product line manager for Fluke Biomedical, Radiation Management Services. "This is absolutely essential for sparing healthy tissue when treating mammary tumors with high dose techniques such as IMRT."
A full brassiere library of 40 cups in a portable caddy is available for convenient, organized fitting of nearly all patients.
